Mother Arrested for Brutal Assault After Discovering Teen Daughter with Boyfriend

The act of parental protection is often present, but can occasionally lead to overstepping of boundaries, resulting in serious consequences. According to KSAZ-TV, a mother went to extreme measures after discovering a male individual in bed with her adolescent daughter.

At the early hour of 1:00 a.m., the mother, identified as Jeanette Woods, found her 16-year-old daughter in bed with a male individual after engaging in consensual sexual activity. Woods became displeased with the situation and proceeded to repeatedly strike the teenager in the face, leading to severe consequences.

As per reports, another mother, a 19-year-old identified as Alexee Trevizo, was recently arrested on allegations of first-degree murder and tampering with evidence after allegedly discarding her newborn infant in a hospital trash can in New Mexico following a lengthy investigation.

On January 27, Trevizo went to the emergency department at Artesia General Hospital and reported experiencing back discomfort. The hospital verified both her pregnancy and delivery, according to the Kansas City Star. Trevizo subsequently spent a significant amount of time alone in the hospital restroom before giving birth to a son, whom she then wrapped in a garbage bag, tied up, and concealed in the trash can.

When the medical staff noticed blood in the restroom, they initially assumed Trevizo was experiencing pregnancy-related complications and provided her with medical assistance. It was only when the cleaner saw a significant amount of blood in the bathroom and noticed that the garbage bag was unusually thick that two nurses were called, leading to the discovery of the newborn child.

The investigation revealed that the newborn infant was delivered alive at approximately 38 weeks but passed away shortly after birth, likely due to the inability to breathe while confined within the garbage bag. Trevizo later claimed that the baby was not breathing upon birth and did not cry when she placed him in the garbage bag, indicating a lack of understanding of how to properly care for her newborn child.

In March, a murder investigation was launched after an autopsy confirmed the infant’s death. On May 10, 2023, formal charges were filed against Trevizo, who appeared in court the following day. The subject of pretrial detention will be addressed at a hearing scheduled for the following day, according to NBC affiliate KOB.

This unfortunate incident serves as a grim reminder of the potential consequences that can arise from extreme parental behavior, and highlights the importance of seeking appropriate assistance and guidance in moments of distress.
