Prince William, Kate Middleton and Other Senior Royals Enjoy Coronation Big Lunch with the Public

The grandeur of the Coronation festivities continued as Prince William, Kate Middleton, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and other dignitaries of the royal family mingled with the common people on Sunday. The Prince and Princess of Wales led the celebrations as they surprised their admirers at a Coronation Big Lunch in Windsor. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge followed in their footsteps by joining a Big Lunch in the company of their fellow citizens.

Meanwhile, Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, attended the street parties in Swindon, Wiltshire, to mingle with the locals and express their gratitude. The event was not limited to the senior members of the royal family as even the younger members, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, attended a Big Lunch in Windsor, adding to the festive spirit.

Even Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty got into the celebratory spirit and hosted a Big Lunch at Downing Street for community figures, Ukrainian families, and youth groups. As per reports, around 50,000 Coronation lunches were expected to take place on Sunday, not just in the UK, but across the world, to mark the King’s coronation.

The monarch, King Charles III, 74, and his wife Queen Camilla, 75, also sent their greetings through social media to commemorate the day’s events, saying, “Whether this is your first ever Big Lunch or whether it is an annual part of your local calendar, we send our warmest good wishes to each one of you, and all those who will be with you, at what we hope will be a truly enjoyable event for everyone.”

The festivities marked a rare occasion where the royal family mingled with the public, spreading joy and cheer, even as the people celebrated the coronation of the new King. The events showed the importance of community and the value of coming together to celebrate in a time of joy and happiness.
